How long does it take to tune a piano?
On average, you can expect a piano tuning to last about 1-2 hours. Properly tuning a piano takes time, and a tuning done under 45 minutes probably isn’t being done correctly. If a pitch correction is also needed, you can expect about 2 or even 3 hours.
How often should I have my piano tuned?
Ideally, you should have your piano tuned twice a year. This is not a rule but an average recommendation. Some people perform and practice often, and like to have their piano tuned many times throughout the year. Others who don’t practice as much may only decide to have an annual piano tuning. How quickly can I schedule an appointment?
Tuning sessions are scheduled on a case-by-case basis. We work with your schedule to try and fit the best appropriate time as quickly as possible. We can usually get you scheduled for an appointment within just a few days.
How much does a piano tuning cost?
A typical piano tuning can cost anywhere from $90 – $150, however this number can vary on a few factors. Some pianos may need a complete pitch raise, which will require more work than a standard tuning.
